Design & Initial Concept Drawings for Steel Buildings
When you approach us to discuss a new steel building, we'll ask you lots of questions about what you want from it and how you will use the building, ideas that you have had so far. We'll use that information first to offer additional advice and guidance, and then ultimately to design your proposed steel framed building. We can provide you with a virtual 3D model of your proposed steel building for you to navigate around and get a feel for the proposed space. You can compare different steel building cladding colours and finishes, compare your ideas against an existing steel building.
We carry out steel building designs for a range of clients, whether you are looking to extend an existing commercial building or need plans to bring life back into steel framed buildings on a run-down industrial estate.
Steel Framed Building 3D Imaging
We appreciate it's not easy to look at a two-dimensional schematic drawing and see a three-dimensional steel building! That type of visualisation is something a lot of people struggle with, so if you find it tricky, rest assured, you're not alone. And – happily – it's an issue that our team at Saxby Hatfield have addressed and resolve with our 3D steel building imaging package. Advances in technology and computerisation allow us to provide you with a 3D digital image of your steel building to give clear insight and oversight to the design process.
Our bespoke service allows you to have a much fuller understanding of the design of your new steel building. You can see how it will look and operate before it's being installed. Our experience has found that it is much more costly and time consuming to make changes and alterations to your steel building design once the installation is underway. It's far better to find out virtually that manoeuvring a piece of machinery into position is nigh on impossible with the planned access route and size of doorway than to hit that snag when the building already exists!
To help you avoid those mistakes, we recommend our initial concept and 3D image package to get your steel framed building plans underway. Plus you'll get advice and guidance from experienced steel building consultants.Contact us about 3D imaging & planning drawings →
Drawings for Planning Permission
Once you have kick started the process with the initial concept and 3D image, our steel building engineers are then able to use this work to develop a complete set of steel frame building drawings for the planning permission stage of your steel building project.
Every steel building will require some form of permission whether it's a Permitted Development Application or Full Planning, in any of these situations you will be required to provide a complete set of drawings.
• Location Plans
• Existing Site Layouts
• Proposed Site Layouts
• Elevation drawings
These are all part of our complete set Drawings Package.
You can handle the planning process yourselves, or we can use our experience to smoothly undertake the liaison and admin for you – whatever suits you best.
It may be that we're required to make changes to fulfil requirements for planning consent. You can rest assured we'll very carefully consider any amendments needed to the design or the build and advise you what impact they'll have, if any. We'll always bear in mind your goals for the building and your business – helping you overcome obstacles without compromising on the result.
